Idowu served eight years in the infantry and was discharged in 2024 with post-traumatic stress. She has been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote comes to $700.
Idowu is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $700 goes:
• Training provider fees: $420
• Housing deposit and first month: $210
• Transport to appointments: $25
• Essential household items: $45
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Iztapalapa.
