A service dog for Robert, an army veteran in Jacksonville
Robert served four years in the army; $2,000 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served four years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $2,000.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Essential household items: $410
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,050
• Transport to appointments: $540
Thank you for reading my story.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Lahore.
