I served fourteen years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2023 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $70
• Housing deposit and first month: $370
• Essential household items: $60
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Looking forward to the next update. After 23 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
