A service dog for Leonardo, a marines veteran in Aurora
Leonardo served four years in the marines; $3,300 would cover a trained service dog and handler course.

I served four years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $3,300.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $240
• Training provider fees: $2,450
• Essential household items: $610
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
