Diya served eight years in the engineering corps; $750 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served eight years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2024 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $750.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $750 goes:
• Training provider fees: $410
• Housing deposit and first month: $300
• Essential household items: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family, Diya. Shared this with my family. After 21 years in accounting I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Take care.
