A service dog for Abosede, an army veteran in Lagos
After twelve years of service, Abosede is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.
🇳🇬 Nigeria707 views
Adewale served twelve years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. He has been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $900.
Adewale is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $900 goes:
• Training provider fees: $450
• Housing deposit and first month: $340
• Transport to appointments: $45
• Essential household items: $65
With deep gratitude,
Abosede
