For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 128 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,600 goes: • Materials: $1,750 • Permits and inspections: $250 • Safety equipment and signage: $460 • Tools hire and delivery: $140 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Kendall
