A sensory garden for children with autism: a volunteer-led effort in Dundee
Volunteers in Dundee are raising $3,350 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Pioneer Primary School.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,350.
It will serve about 204 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
