For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 216 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Materials: $260 Thanks for being kind about this. - Komal

Sure. The biggest one is permits and inspections, $40. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
