A repair café workshop for the Pioneer community hall: help our neighbors in Sacramento
A community-led a repair café workshop at the Pioneer community hall that will serve 211 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 211 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,500
• Permits and inspections: $240
• Safety equipment and signage: $195
• Tools hire and delivery: $265
