A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Cleveland
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $3,900 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,900.
It will serve about 590 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Materials: $3,250
• Safety equipment and signage: $500
• Tools hire and delivery: $150
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
