A ramp for Zenaida: volunteers and tools needed

Zenaida uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Zenaida has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Zenaida can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Zenaida's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

  • You're not alone. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Dasmariñas.

    • Wishing you peace, Michelle. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
