A ramp for Yulia: volunteers and tools needed
Yulia uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇷🇺 Moscow, Moscow, Russia885 views
Yulia has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Yulia can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Yulia's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there, Maria. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings.
Thinking of you and your family, Maria. Hope you get there. Love from Dharan
hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Moscow.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Haarlem.
Wishing you the best, Maria. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Take care, Maria. Looking forward to the next update.
