A ramp for Víctor: volunteers and tools needed

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Greensboro.

Víctor has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Víctor can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Víctor's family will cook lunch for the team. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Great help in a difficult time

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.
