A ramp for Seema: volunteers and tools needed
Seema uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India980 views
Seema has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Seema can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Seema's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

stay strong, Mahesh. Looking forward to the next update. Please keep us posted. God bless.
Thinking of you, Mahesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Pune!
Stay strong. Hope this works out for you
thinking of you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Blessings.
Take care, Mahesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 13 people at work. All the best
Thanks for sharing this. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Ludhiana donated after I showed her your page.
best of luck. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
