Sarah has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sarah can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sarah's family will cook lunch for the team. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

This helper is honest and transparent about what they can do. They didn't overpromise, but they did deliver excellent results. I would definitely trust them again.

The help I received was exactly what was described and more. This person follows through on their commitments and genuinely cares about making a positive impact.

  • You're not alone, Naliaka. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Thika.

    • Hope it all works out, Naliaka. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Auckland donated after I showed her your page.

      • Good luck, Naliaka. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.
