A ramp for Sadie: volunteers and tools needed
Help Sadie regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐บ๐ธ El Paso, Texas, United States480 views
Sadie has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sadie can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sadie's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Tallahassee but we're thinking of you. Take care
Hope it all works out, Aiden. I hope things turn around soon. Blessings
Thanks for sharing this. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
