A ramp for Rashmi: volunteers and tools needed
Help Rashmi regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom557 views
Rashmi has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Rashmi can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Rashmi's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Thinking of you. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Kaduna this morning. Greetings from Kaduna.
Stay strong, Alok. Hope you get there. After 17 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
