A ramp for Paul: volunteers and tools needed
Help Paul regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇰🇪 Nairobi, Kenya1,188 views
Paul has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Paul can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Paul's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope August is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Bogor.
Wishing you the best, Tabitha. Wishing Paul a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Love from Hobart.
Best of luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Kasarani.
