A ramp for Mi-sook: volunteers and tools needed
Help Mi-sook regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐บ๐ธ Missouri, United States753 views
Mi-sook has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Mi-sook can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Mi-sook's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
