A ramp for Jenny: volunteers and tools needed
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Taguig.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines302 views
Jenny has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Jenny can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Jenny's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Rolando. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Odesa
Sending good thoughts. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Faisalabad!
Sending good thoughts, Rolando. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Taguig
Praying for you, Rolando. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together. Love from Narayanganj.
Stay strong, Rolando. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
