A ramp for Inés: volunteers and tools needed
Inés uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇦🇷 Buenos Aires, Argentina766 views
Inés has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Inés can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Inés's family will cook lunch for the team.

Rooting for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Pune.
