A ramp for Iman: volunteers and tools needed

Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Salé.

Iman has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Iman can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Iman's family will cook lunch for the team. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 24 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.

    • keep going, Manal. This could happen to any of us.

Thinking of you and your family, Manal. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings

        • Wishing you the best, Manal. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Sakai
