A ramp for Gita: volunteers and tools needed
Help Gita regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐ฎ๐ฉ Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia787 views
Gita has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Gita can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Gita's family will cook lunch for the team.

Good luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Best of luck, Teguh. Hope you get there!
rooting for you. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless!
