Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Salvador.

Edilene has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Edilene can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Edilene's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

  • This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page. God bless

    • wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Leeds.

      • Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless

        • Good luck, Valentina. Get well soon. All the best!

          • Thinking of you, Valentina. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
