A ramp for Cooper: volunteers and tools needed
Cooper uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇸 Texas, United States1,384 views
Cooper has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Cooper can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Cooper's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

Sending strength, Addison. Hope this works out for you. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Praying for you, Addison. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
