A ramp for Consuelo: volunteers and tools needed
Consuelo uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Consuelo has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Consuelo can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Consuelo's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Rooting for you, José. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Narayanganj this morning.
Thanks for sharing this. Wishing Consuelo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Duque de Caxias but we're thinking of you
