A ramp for Arslan: volunteers and tools needed
Arslan uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan557 views
Arslan has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Arslan can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Arslan's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

So sorry you're going through this. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page
hope things get better soon, Rashid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
Thinking of you and your family, Rashid. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
