A ramp for Apichart: volunteers and tools needed

Help Apichart regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Apichart has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Apichart can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Apichart's family will cook lunch for the team. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • So sorry you're going through this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Bangkok.

Best of luck, Somchai. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings!

      • Sending good thoughts. Hope the doctors have good news. Greetings from Veracruz.
