A rainwater harvesting system for the old Sycamore bus depot: help our neighbors in Kaduna
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the old Sycamore bus depot that will serve 97 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 97 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Materials: $430
• Permits and inspections: $40
