A rainwater harvesting system for Liberty Park: help our neighbors in Curitiba

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,050. It will serve about 337 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
