A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Mbale
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $85, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 113 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $155
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
