A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Mar del Plata
Volunteers in Mar del Plata are raising $200 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Union vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 263 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $200 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
• Permits and inspections: $15

I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Zapopan.
Hang in there. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Salvador
