A prosthetic leg for Quang: help Quang move freely
Quang needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,000.
🇻🇳 Vietnam674 views
Quang lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Nha Trang General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Quang could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $880
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $35
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Oanh. Wishing Quang a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Leeds
Best of luck, Oanh. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up.
