A powered wheelchair for Clara: help me move freely

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Birmingham Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,700.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $6,700 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $6,000
• Fitting and training sessions: $165
• Delivery and set-up: $180
• First-year servicing plan: $355
