A playground for the Pioneer health centre yard: help our neighbors in Oakland
Volunteers in Oakland are raising $3,200 for a playground at the Pioneer health centre yard.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,200.
It will serve about 418 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Tools hire and delivery: $560
• Materials: $2,455
