A playground for the old Freedom bus depot: help our neighbors in The Hague
A community-led a playground at the old Freedom bus depot that will serve 404 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $320, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 404 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Materials: $2,850
• Permits and inspections: $155
• Safety equipment and signage: $135
• Tools hire and delivery: $260
