A playground for the Maple health centre yard: help our neighbors in San Jose
Volunteers in San Jose are raising $3,150 for a playground at the Maple health centre yard.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,150.
It will serve about 413 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Materials: $2,400
• Permits and inspections: $280
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
