A playground for the Freedom health centre yard: help our neighbors in Albany
Volunteers in Albany are raising $2,200 for a playground at the Freedom health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 482 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,300
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Safety equipment and signage: $180
• Tools hire and delivery: $400
