My younger sister, Alexandra, is 13 and in the final year of school. Alexandra loves school but physics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The school-leaving exam is in July. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Auckland or online, for about twelve weeks. Alexandra is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in physics, you could change the course of Alexandra's year. Thank you for reading my story.

Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Newcastle upon Tyne.
