My younger sister, Nina, is 14 and in Grade 11. Nina loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The national exam is in April. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Saint Petersburg or online, for about twenty weeks. Nina is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Nina's year. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Dnipro

    • Thinking of you and your family, Nadia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.

      • Thinking of you and your family, Nadia. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.

        • Take care, Nadia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 25 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless

          • Praying for you, Nadia. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to La Plata so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Saint Petersburg

            • Wishing you the best, Nadia. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
