A mathematics tutor for Haris, 16, who's falling behind

Haris is working hard on mathematics but can't afford a tutor; 1 hours a week until the school-leaving would help enormously.

My nephew, Haris, is 16 and in Grade 11. Haris loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the move. The school-leaving exam is in June. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Yogyakarta or online, for about twenty weeks. Haris is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Haris's year. Glad we found this place.

      • Take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Yogyakarta.
