A fresh start in Nice: help the Sahin family resettle
The Sahin family are rebuilding in Nice after leaving Ethiopia; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Ethiopia 10 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Nice. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in March.
I was a mechanic in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Nice Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Language classes and bus passes: $330
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $350
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,670
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Dwarka so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Nice.
any update on how things are going in Nice?
Hope this works out for you. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings.
Take care, Brigitte. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Kano donated after I showed her your page
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Brigitte.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. language classes and bus passes comes first ($330) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
Wishing you the best, Brigitte. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update. Blessings.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
