A French tutor for Fatima, 15, who's falling behind
Looking for a patient French tutor, 2 hours a week, for 8 weeks.
🇿🇦 South Africa515 views
My niece, Fatima, is 15 and in Year 10. Fatima loves school but French has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The GCSE exam is in November.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Cape Town or online, for about twenty weeks.
Fatima is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in French, you could change the course of Fatima's year.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Wishing you the best, Megan. Shared it with a few friends
Rooting for you, Megan. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
wishing you peace, Megan. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
Hope you get there. Thinking of Cape Town!
Praying for you, Megan. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
Take care, Megan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'll check back for the next update.
Sending strength, Megan. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
