A free library and reading room for the old Liberty bus depot: help our neighbors in Jakarta
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $450 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 458 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Tools hire and delivery: $55
• Materials: $370
• Permits and inspections: $25
