For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,500. It will serve about 569 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.       Sure. The biggest one is materials, $2,550. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
