A few hours of disability-rights advocate time could save Nusrat's home
Nusrat is facing a benefits termination I'm appealing and can't afford a lawyer; a disability-rights advocate willing to review the case for free could make the difference.

I'm facing a benefits termination I'm appealing, with a hearing on September. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified disability-rights advocate licensed in Maharashtra who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Pune or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

So sorry you're going through this. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Atlanta donated after I showed her your page. Love from Atlanta
Hope things get better soon, Nusrat. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 21 people at work. Take care.
