A day in the garden: help Samjhana in Bhaktapur

Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Samjhana's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 72 and I have lived in this house in Bhaktapur for 35 years. After the storm in May, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement. The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Stay strong, Samjhana. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 11 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything
