A day in the garden: help Nasser in Cairo
Nasser, 77, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Cairo for 41 years. After the storm in March, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 13 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Cairo.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Cairo.
