I'm 92 and I have lived in this house in Gatineau for 37 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis. The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • you're not alone. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.

    • Thinking of you, Genesis. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 27 people at work. Take care.

      • Thinking of you, Genesis. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

        • Hope it all works out, Genesis. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
